Melissa was juried into the Sheltowee Artisans and the International Guild of Wire Jewelry Artists.

Summer 2008


Melissa's first tutorial appeared in the summer 2008 issue of Step by Step Wire  Jewelry magazine.  The "Inversian" earrings are a variation on the Persian chainmaille weave in which the rings are ordered in a graduated fashion and then inverted. Kits are currently available.

October 2008
 
Melissa was featured as the Artist of the Month in the October issue of The B-section, a monthly publication dedicated to the happenings of Berea, KY.

March 2009
Melissa was juried into the Louisville Artisans Guild.

Summer 2009

Melissa's second tutorial appeared in the summer 2009 issue of Step by Step Wire Jewelry magazine. The Pendulum Pendant uses wrapping and coiling techniques to cage an artisan lampwork glass bead. With an area of open space left above the bead, this unique design gives the illusion of floating. Kits are currently available.

July 2009
Melissa was juried into the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program in mixed media and metal. KY Crafted recognizes, encourages, and promotes high quality art and craft by Kentucky artisans.

September 2009

Melissa's work is now on display at the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea, KY located off I-75 at exit 77. The Artisan Center is open daily 8am-8pm year round.

January 2010
Melissa was featured in an article about the newly opened Les Filles Boutique in the Louisville newspaper Voice Tribune.
